A conversation I’ve been having with a government customer is about extending the use of the CaptureWA point cloud data over their area of interest to build a 3D mesh to publish as a scene layer package.
Are these products also captured and available as part of an aerial elevation survey?
If not, can we ask the original provider to generate one or is it something the customer should generate themselves?
@nicflett short answer is no, to date we’ve only requested LiDAR as point clouds, not in 3D mesh formats. It’s something that could be created by the original contractor (for a fee of course) or by the customer, if they have the necessary s/w.
